A new absinthe antiquity

Can't get enough of them.  They are all so beautiful!  This is the new treasure that it's coming to my home all the way from France:

Picture from the Absinthe Originals website
This is the "Etoiles 2" spoon, a new acquisition from the Absinthe Originals website.  I've said this before, but I'm happy to say it again: if you are looking for real absinthe antiquities, this is the place to go.  I am sure that, even if you are on a budget (like I am most of the time) you can find a lovely piece to use in your absinthe ritual or just to add to your bar display.

Marc is an expert on the subject, and trusted among the absinthe aficionados community.  Not only does he sell pretty absinthiana objects, he also has a website where you can be sure you can order the finest absinthes on the market.  When I am finished with the Obsello and Deva bottles I currently have, I am looking forward to order one of those high ranking absinthes so difficult to find in Spain.

Santé!

My first absinthe antiquity

Isn't it a beauty?  Picture from the Absinthe Originals website
My first antique absinthe spoon arrived today, and I could not be more happy.  It was a gift from my mom, and the first truly antique Absinthiana object I own.  It has some marks that tells it is from the past, but that only adds to its beauty.  It is a "Cuillère Ouvrageé 2".  I still have not had the time to investigate about it, but I definitely will.

It came from Absinthe Originals, one of the most trusted places for absinthe collectors to get real antique items, and highly recommended by my friends at the Wormwood Society.  You can be sure the owner of the site is not going to rip you off, and that he offers real jewels over there.  Not only spoons, but glasses, carafes, spoon holders and many more absinthe related pieces.  Even though some of the pieces are expensive (of course!), there are also affordable ones, and one has to start somewhere, right?

My friends tell me absinthe antiquities are like tattoos, once you get the first you cannot stop.  We'll see if they are right...

Last Absinthe Tray

This is definitely one of my favorite items. Unfortunately, it is also the last one that will be available, at least for some time.
I have run out of some of the components that I need to make this set. I am in the search for new suppliers, since I do not live in the US anymore. But until I find them, this particular set will not be offered again.
If you like this set, this may be your last chance to make it yours. Don't wait!
You can buy it at my shop.

A lovely and wonderful feature, and more Absinthe minis!

Some days ago I was contacted by a customer that had seen my Absinthe minis. On top of purchasing one of the fountains and tray sets, he asked my permission to use my pics to do a feature of the minis in his blog. I was delighted to learn that it was an all-Absinthe blog, in the Absinthe.fm website.

I have been biting my nails in anticipation, specially because he told me he was planning to take a pic of the minis besides a real size Moulin Vert bottle - the same brand whose label I feature in my bottles. And finally! Here it is!

Picture courtesy of absinthejack. Thank you so so much!

These are the minis of the day: a trio of real Absinthe books, made in miniature:

"Absinthe Cocktails", "The Absinthe Encyclopedia" and "Absinthe: History in a Bottle". I will be listing them separately in the following days in my shop.

Off topic - Absinthe news

Today there is a new gadget on my blog; a little list of links that will take you to several websites with lots of info about Absinthe. Find it in the right column, under my shop gallery -->

I have had time only to peruse through them, but they are all filled with lots of questions and answers, as well as history bits and fun facts.

I have included too some links to online Absinthe merchants. Please take note of this disclaimer: the fact that I mention them does not imply that I endorse them. If you are interested in buying Absinthe and Absinthe accessories online, please be an informed customer, take your time and do your own research.

First Absinthe Fountain up for sale!

Oh, how I wish it was evening already so I could have a glass of Absinthe!

The first fountain has been listed in my shop! I am waiting on the arrival of some bottles, and then the Absinthe sets will be available again. Hopefully sometime next week :)

Drinking Absinthe is going to be a pleasure

Totally off topic, I received today my first absinthe fountain! I am so so excited about it, and I am dying to use it for the first time, along with the absinthe glass - also new!
I'll let you know how it goes...
